Everything reaches the same desk: [email protected]. Putting the right words in the subject line gets your message handled faster, because it goes into the right queue.
What to put in the subject line
- Correction — you have found an error. Please include the article URL and, where you can, the source that shows the correct position. This is the queue we clear first. See our Corrections Policy for what happens next.
- Pitch — you would like to contribute an article. Read the Editorial Process and Sponsored Content Policy first; they will tell you whether your idea is a fit before you spend time on it.
- Press — media enquiries and interview requests.
- Privacy — access, correction or deletion requests under our Privacy Policy.
- DMCA Notice — copyright complaints. The required contents of a valid notice are listed on our DMCA Takedown Policy page.
- Abuse — reporting a comment or contribution. See the Abuse Report page.
Response times
We aim to acknowledge correction reports and legal notices within three business days. General questions and pitches can take longer. We read everything, but we cannot promise a reply to every message, and we do not always have the capacity to take a pitch further.
What we cannot do
We cannot give you personalised financial advice. This is not us being unhelpful — it is the line between a publication and a licensed adviser, and it matters. If you write in describing your income, your debts and your circumstances and ask what you should do, we will not answer that question, because answering it responsibly requires a licensed professional who can review your full position. Our Disclaimer explains why.
What we can do is point you at the article, the calculator or the primary source that covers the ground, and correct anything we have got wrong.
Please do not send
Do not email us account numbers, card details, Social Security numbers, passwords or copies of identity documents. We do not need them, we do not want them, and email is not a secure channel for them. If you have already sent something like that, tell us and we will delete it.
We do not accept unsolicited link insertion requests, and we do not sell links on existing articles outside the terms of our Sponsored Content Policy.
